The Quint: Smart India Hackathon: Budding Engineers Become Problem Solvers



In a major push to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India initiative, the government has organised Smart India Hackathon 2017 on 1 and 2 April 2017. The event will take place across 26 centres in India.
Total 10,000 programmers will participate in the event, making it the biggest hackathon in the world.
The Quint one of the hackathon centres in Noida to watch the programmers in action. AICTE has organised a marathon 36-hour hackathon in JSS College of Engineering, Noida where students from across the country will solve problems provided to them.
The issues range from redesigning websites, to create app with database of student or platform to update recruitment of faculty. 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address the students via webcast on Saturday.
