Stung by what it called a "raid" by CBI on Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday, the Aam Aadmi Party accused the Central Government of “daily harassment”. Senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh said the "raid" on Sisodia's residence signaled the Modi government's "resolve" to not let the AAP administration in Delhi work. The CBI had denied it has carried out a search or raid, but said it only visited his house in connection with a case.
A crushing defeat for Aam Admi Party (AAP) in the Delhi Municipal Municipal Polls 2017 has raised many question on the senior leadership of party, particularly, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), continuing with its victory streak, on Thursday won 5 out of 10 assembly by-elections across eight states, including Delhi. Congress also had a reason to smile as they retained two seats in Karnataka and another in Madhya Pradesh. The Trinamool Congress won in West Bengal and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) emerged victorious in Jharkhand. As the results for the Sunday assembly by-polls, held also in eight states were announced, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, congratulated his party workers.
