The Quint: Women Volunteers Keep Vigil as Students Write Boards in Jhajjar


Seeking to curb the practice of rampant cheating during board examinations, a group of women in Haryana’s Jahajjar have stationed themselves at a high school. The women, most of them locals, say that they took up the mantle after repeated instances of mass-scale cheating came to light in the state. So far, the Haryana police, whose personnel are generally posted on guard during board exams, have failed to stop examinees from resorting to copying.
