The Quint: Family of Conjoined Twins in Pak Pray for Successful Operation

A Pakistani family is hoping for a miracle to save their conjoined twin daughters who are fused at the head.
Zainab Bibi, 35, gave birth to Safa and Marva at a hospital in Peshawar in January this year.
Muhammad Sadaqat, girls’ uncle said: “We dont know what to do. The doctors first said they will go for the surgery but now they are telling us this is going to be difficult."
Dr Shahzad Akbar, medical director of the hospital where the twins were born said: "The twins were fused at the head but scans showed that they have separate brains. So we are hopeful that a surgery can work out,”
However, the doctors are terming the surgery as a ‘complicated’ one.
