The Quint: Curtains are down on the Legendary Regal Theater in Delhi.

Regal, one of the historic single screen cinema halls in Delhi, closed on March 30 after screening two of Raj Kapoor's classic movies – Sangam and Mera Naam Joker. Regal was one of Raj Kapoor's favorite cinema screens, where he used to premiere his films. Regal was 85 years old, and was one of the most attractive hotspots in the good old days of New Delhi. To celebrate the historic moment, and to relive all the old memories, a lot of people turned up to witness the final shows in Regal. The Quint talked to the people, and listened to their stories. The Quint: Jammu Srinagar Highway Blocked due to Snowfall

Udhampur District of Jammu Kashmir experienced heavy snowfall and landslides. Around 150 vehicles have been stranded on the Jammu Srinagar Highway for more than 72 hours. The highway was closed down due to the dampness in the weather because of continuous rainfall.
Not just humans, cattle are also suffering because of scarcity of food. The cattle owners are very worried as without food the cattle is likely to perish. Though the farmers are requesting the government to let the convoy , the weather conditions restrict the officials to open National Highway

The Quint: Devotees Throng Mathura to Experience Lathmaar Holi

Seeking to experience a divine festival of colours, devotees from across the country thronged Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura on Wednesday to play Lathmaar Holi. Unlike any other holi played across the country, lathmaar holi involves not just the an array of dry colours, but also sticks and drums. However, the main attraction of this special holi was the presence of actors dressed up as lord Krishna and Radha, who adorned the centre stage. Additionally, performers from Rajasthan and Haryana too added their aura to the high-spirited event.

The Quint| Bihar: Man Carries Wife’s Body on Shoulder As Hospital Denies Van

Suresh Mandal, a Muzaffarpur resident had to carry his wife's body wrapped in a piece of cloth on his shoulders on Wednesday after the government hospital (where the patient had died during treatment) refused to provide him an ambulance or mortuary van. Mandal's 30-year-old wife Shyama Devi, who had been admitted to the hospital since 18 February, died on Tuesday.

The Quint: Sushma Swaraj Reacts to Attacks on Indians in USA

An Indian-origin businessman has been shot dead outside his home in South Carolina, according to media reports. Harnish Patel was shot dead near his house in Lancaseter, a little after 11:24 pm on Thursday, a media report said.
Hours later, Deep Rai, a 39-year-old Sikh man in the US was injured when an unidentified person shot him outside his home and allegedly shouted “go back to your own country”.
Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj has expressed condolence on the death of Patel. She also tweeted about the health of Deep Rai.
Patel's death comes two days after US President Donald Trump condemned the killing of 32-year-old Indian engineer Srinivas Kuchibhotla at a Kansas bar.

The People’s Liberation Army has banned Hindi films in Manipur since 2002; that resulted in a spurt of regional Manipuri films immediately after the ban.
This election season the actors and technicians have just one demand from the state Government, they want the government to set up a film city and subsidise the industry. This will result in better cash flow as banks may issue loans to make films.
