The Quint: The Groundsmen Could Have Shown a Bit More Urgency, Says Stev...

Steve Smith said that the groundsmen could have shown a bit more urgency after Australia’s Champions Trophy match against Bangladesh was abandoned due to rain in London on Monday.

When rain descended on the ground, Australia were at 83/1 in 16 overs, while chasing Bangladesh's meager total of 182.
If rain had arrived after Australia batted out 20 overs, then the men in yellow could have easily clinched two points.

The skipper added that, drinks being called when the batsmen went off the field, probably didn't help the Australians.
Australia’s first match of the tournament against New Zealand was also abandoned due to rain.
