Protesters in Germany got violent after a series of peace protests ahead of G-20 summit. The left-wing activists vowed to disrupt the first day of summit proceedings as they wanted to draw attention to climate change among other issues. The police used water cannon to clear a blockade by protesters. The incident happened on the banks of the Outer Alster lake, some distance from the trade fair grounds where the summit is being held, on Friday morning.
