Harmanpreet Kaur told The Quint that she never thought she will receive the Arjuna Award. The cricketer was presented with the award in New Delhi on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old spoke about how women’s cricket has grown in India. She said that BCCI and other associations are helping women’s cricket grow in this country.
Kaur expressed that the innings of 171 runs against Australia in the semi-final of the World Cup, will always motivate her.
Interestingly, the cricketer didn’t have breakfast before the match. Since she had a shoulder injury, she was getting her shoulder taped during breakfast time!
