With the onset of monsoon, North-east regions experience heavy rainfall. The incessant rainfall is supposedly due to the low pressure developed in Bay of Bengal. The low pressure that developed affected the North-East regions causing heavy rainfall and swelling the Brahmaputra and it’s tributaries.
