Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi was released after being arrested by the police on Thursday. He was initially detained near Mandsaur before being arrested. Gandhi was prohibited from visiting the violence-hit district, but he attempted to defy the security arrangements in place, riding on a motorcycle before eventually deciding to travel on foot.
Rahul Gandhi spoke to family members of deceased farmers on phone, and said that he won’t be deterred from voicing their concern.
