The Quint: Stranded at 14,000 Ft, Hurt Skier Saved by Helicopter Rescue ...



An injured skier was rescued by a local helicopter rescue team from the Kothi peak of the Rhotang region at an altitude of 14,000 feet above sea level. Four people went skiing in the Rhotang region in Manali on Friday, and one of the skiers got injured. The rescue team airlifted the injured skier within 30 minutes.
The helicopter rescue team member said that it was tough to find the location, and it is important that before leaving to such locations, one should inform the administration and any rescue teams available here.
