Vivekanand Sinha, IG of Bastar range in Chhattisgarh said that the security forces will hit the Naxals in their stronghold and avenge the deaths of CRPF personnel in Sukma ambush attack. As many as 25 CRPF jawans were killed in a deadly Naxal ambush while they were having lunch on Monday.
A party of about 36 troops, out of the total 99, came under the first assault after they had ventured out to sanitise the area and provide protection to a 5.5-km long road construction work, officials said.
