The Quint: Delhi University Law Student Responds to Beef Controversy

A Delhi University student, Arunima Bhattacharya’s, WhatsApp conversation with a classmate of hers from ‘section B’, went viral a few days ago. The conversation was about her ‘beef-eating’ habit and in no time from being a student she became an anti-national, non-Hindu, non-Brahmin.
The person, whom she has never met, sent her a private message on WhatsApp, after he couldn’t come to terms with the fact that Arunima, who hails from a Hindu Brahmin family, could be fine with eating beef. Arunima had earlier shared her liberal views on the matter of beef eating in another group.
